Information Management System for Ayurveda Hospitals

The Ministry of Indigenous Medicine requested us to develop a strategy for Ayurveda hospitals for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. Firstly, we studied the management mechanisms of hospitals around the world during previous pandemic situations, and conducted a feasibility study of the Ayurveda hospital network in Sri Lanka. Our recommendation was to design an online information management system (IMS).

We developed the concept and consulted on the development this information management system based on the resources available for the hospitals. The technical expertise was obtained from a leading IT company in the country. This system allowed the Ayurveda hospitals and healthcare management institutions at various levels to manage information of COVID-19 patients in an organized manner, which made the administrative tasks less complicated.
The system improved the phase of information flow, and it enabled data analysts to predict situations more accurately. Da Vinci Analytica conducted the research and consultations for this IM system free of charge as a national responsibility and a service to the people of Sri Lanka.

Online news consumption survey for Wijeya Newspapers (Pvt.) Ltd

Wijeya Newspapers wanted to modify the website of their mainstay newspaper the ‘Lankadeepa’. Da Vinci Analytica was entrusted with conducting a research in order to devise a strategy for the modifications. We used an online survey to obtain quantitative data on patterns of online media consumption, while qualitative data was gathered through focus group discussions.
This allowed us to have an in-depth understanding of the behaviors online news readers and their preferences regarding specific types of news. Wijeya Newspapers planned their website modifications based on our recommendations regarding advertisements, layout, and the content of the website.
